RYCOM and Money Express (Monex) have teamed up to offer small and medium sized business owners the opportunity to produce their own electronic gift cards.
For some time Monex had been searching for a communication service to transport the gift card transaction from the merchant’s location to the host application. RYCOM's TXN network for dial service was the perfect fit. Through TXN, RYCOM is able to service all Monex customers from coast to coast.
The Monex gift card solution enables a new payment option for small business. Cards can be customized to reflect the business branding or any other information the client would like. Through Monex, businesses that normally would not be able to offer this type of service will soon have the ability; the local florist, dry cleaner or hair stylist for example.
RYCOM and Monex look forward to bringing this service into production in early 2009 across Canada.
